She has a proven track record of navigating challenging technical and contractual environments.

She combines technical insight with strong stakeholder leadership, driving projects from initial feasibility through to financial and contractual close.

Paul Shiels – Director & Co-Founder

Capital Deployment & Commercial Structuring

Paul brings over two decades of experience across finance, real estate investment and infrastructure advisory, with a strong focus on commercial structuring, capital deployment and business development.


He has extensive experience working with institutional investors, private equity and corporate clients across the UK and European markets, leading transactions, structuring complex investments and supporting the growth of large-scale platforms.


Banking & Investment Background

His background spans both corporate banking and entrepreneurial business leadership, providing a balanced perspective on risk, capital and execution.


Paul previously established and scaled an international real estate investment and management business, across multiple locations.


Prior to this, he held senior roles within Bank of Scotland, including leading the real estate debt and equity division in Frankfurt, where he was responsible for structuring and delivering transactions across multiple international markets.


Role at SolarGrid TS

At SolarGrid TS, Paul is responsible for commercial strategy, financial structuring and partnership development, ensuring projects are bankable, scalable and aligned with investor and client requirements.

Chris Lane – Non Executive Director, Finance & Strategy

Chris Lane is a highly experienced financial markets professional with a strong background in international equities, trading, and risk management. 

He has worked at JP Morgan, Goldman Sachs and served 8 years as a Director at Credit Suisse managing the Portfolio Trading Desk and also running the Central Risk Desk where he built a deep expertise in navigating complex market environments and delivering strategic insight at an institutional level.

With nearly two decades of experience in global financial markets, Chris brings a rigorous, analytical approach to investment, risk, and commercial decision-making. His perspective is particularly valuable in structuring projects, assessing financial viability, and supporting scalable growth strategies.


Chris provides strategic guidance on financial structuring, risk management, and market positioning, helping to ensure robust, commercially sound decision-making across the business.


Chris is also a board member and Vice Chair of a local charity that supports elderly and disadvantaged members of the community in Ham & Petersham supporting them to be active, engaged and independent.



Jane Shiels – Legal & Accounts

Legal & Corporate Structuring

Jane brings extensive experience across legal, finance and corporate structuring, supporting, ensuring projects are robust, compliant and commercially sound.


International Finance & Transaction Expertise

She has a strong background in international finance and property transactions, having worked as a senior lawyer within leading firms including Ashurst and Lloyds Banking Group.


Her experience includes advising on complex lending structures, corporate acquisitions and cross-border transactions, with a focus on risk management and due diligence.


Governance & Strategic Support

In addition to her legal expertise, Jane has operated as a consultant and company secretary, supporting businesses with governance, structuring and operational processes.

She also brings a strategic perspective through her work in executive coaching and organisational development.

Mark Turner – Board Advisor

Senior Project & Operational Leadership

Over thirty years’ experience of delivering results in senior project and operational roles in sectors as diverse as financial services, manufacturing, retail and distribution.


Renewables & Asset Management Experience

Mark has worked in renewables since 2010 and prior to joining Elements Green, he was one of the Lightsource start-up team where he built an operating business managing over of 2GW of PV assets.
